EverBloom / Fertility Cost Guide

Nigeria 2026 Fertility Cost Guide

Fertility treatment in Nigeria is expensive, and the full cost is rarely what the headline figure suggests. EverBloom maintains these planning ranges so families can enter the process with realistic numbers, not surprises.

These are planning ranges, not quotes. Figures are compiled from reputable Nigerian pricing sources and updated periodically. Your actual cost will depend on your clinic, your treatment plan, and the medications prescribed. Always obtain a written, itemised quote before committing to treatment.

Why the final bill is rarely the headline number

The figure most clinics advertise is a base cycle fee. What families end up paying is often significantly more, because several variables get added on top. Medication protocol and dosage is usually the single largest swing factor, two patients on identical treatment plans can pay vastly different amounts depending on their response to stimulation.

Add-ons such as ICSI, assisted hatching, PGT, and embryo glue are each billed separately, and clinics vary widely on whether they recommend them routinely or only when clinically indicated. Similarly, clinic location and laboratory quality , particularly access to advanced embryology equipment, affect pricing noticeably.

If your pathway involves donor eggs, donor sperm, or a gestational surrogate, each introduces an entirely separate layer of costs. Surrogacy in particular can add ₦9M – ₦11M on top of the IVF component fees shown in the table above. Multi-cycle bundles can offer meaningful savings per cycle, but require a larger upfront commitment.

How to build a realistic budget

The families who navigate fertility costs most successfully are the ones who ask the hard questions early. These five steps make a significant difference.

  • Request a fully itemised quote

Ask your clinic to break out every line: consultations, scans, medications, theatre fees, lab fees, embryo transfer, freezing, storage, and any elective add-ons. A single line item labelled 'IVF' tells you very little.

  • Compare single-cycle vs. multi-cycle bundles

Some clinics offer meaningful per-cycle discounts on 2- or 3-cycle plans. If your doctor believes multiple attempts are likely, run the per-cycle numbers before committing.

  • Ask about medication sourcing

Find out whether your clinic uses imported or locally sourced medications, and whether a lower-cost equivalent is clinically appropriate for your protocol. This is one of the most underused cost levers.

  • Budget for contingencies

Allow a buffer for cycle cancellations, dose escalations, extra monitoring visits, and the possibility of repeat procedures. Couples who plan only for the ideal-case outcome are often caught short.

  • Explore every support channel before financing

Look into grant windows, employer benefits, and EverBloom Foundation opportunities before taking on any form of financing. The order in which you access support matters.

Where we fit in your budget

EverBloom maintains these cost ranges so applicants can arrive with realistic numbers, not guesses, when they apply for support. Our grants are awarded based on documented financial need and a verified treatment plan.

We do not cover every cost in every case. Our awards work best as part of a broader financial plan that includes clinic negotiations, multi-cycle bundle comparisons, and any employer or community support the family can access. Applicants who have done this groundwork, and can show it, tend to receive more targeted, higher-value support.

This guide is informational only. It does not constitute medical or financial advice, and it does not replace a clinic-issued written quote.
