EverBloom Foundation

Our Story

We exist so that no family faces the fertility journey alone.

The Founder's Story

From eight years of waiting to building the support she never had.

Rahila Thomas, Founder of EverBloom Foundation

Rahila Thomas is a distinguished leader with over 25 years of public and private sector experience across Nigeria's electricity value chain. Her professional career was marked by immense success: shaping electricity market design, advising the National Assembly, and driving economic reform through the Nigerian Economic Summit Group. Yet, behind this formidable public profile, Rahila carried a deeply painful and private struggle—an eight-year journey with infertility that tested her faith and resilience.

For eight years, as Rahila climbed the corporate ladder and influenced national policy, she and her family quietly faced the agonizing heartbreak of waiting for a child. Throughout this difficult period, she experienced the heavy emotional toll of infertility, coupled with the profound societal pressures and insensitivity that so many women in Nigeria endure in silence.

During her numerous clinic visits and grueling treatments, Rahila encountered countless other women navigating the same painful path. She quickly realized a devastating truth: while she was fortunate enough to have the means to access care, millions of women were forced to give up their dream of motherhood simply because they could not afford the staggering costs of fertility treatments. Stigma kept them silent, and poverty kept their dreams out of reach.

“No one should have to walk the fertility journey alone , or in silence.”

Rahila Thomas  ·  Founder, EverBloom

This realization fundamentally changed her perspective. What began as a private crucible transformed into a public calling. Rahila began opening up about her journey, defying the cultural secrecy around infertility. As she shared her story, she found herself counselling other couples, wiping their tears, and standing with them as a pillar of emotional support.

Determined to ensure that no one's ability to become a parent should be dictated by their bank balance, Rahila founded the EverBloom Foundation. Today, she channels her 25 years of governance and leadership experience into a singular, passionate mission: subsidizing the cost of ethical fertility care, shattering societal stigma, and walking hand-in-hand with couples so they never have to face the journey alone.

From lived experience to lasting change

Rahila's openness about her fertility journey, combined with her career in evidence-based policy, gives EverBloom its dual foundation: deep empathy for families, and the governance discipline to turn donor support into measurable, accountable impact.
